All that I know for sure about this fabulous old snake painting on wood is that it was found on the back of a 19th century French armoire and presumed French

Otherwise it's 400+ pages plus alphabetic index at front are blank, ready to fill notes or drawings or whatever. The spine reads Kents Hill Commercial College, I believe of Kents Hill Maine. 13 3 4" x 9" x 1 3 8". Some wear to the front
