What appears to be a scratch over one eyebrow I do not believe is damage but rather just an unglazed area original to the piece

which perhaps could be used in printmaking processes but is also good just sitting around

and I think they stand now as quite lovely things

crisp and clean and bright

And such a gentleness between them a poignant counter to the toughness of studded harness and big stick! Slightly hunched and head cocked, it also feels as if the man is regarding the camera in just the same way he would regard the shepherd, with a mix of curiosity and love and what do you want? (And then the shepherd would return just the same look!) Great. 4 5 16 x 2 5 8 and in good condition.
